Fritwell Playing Field

Fritwell Playing Field is situated off the Fewcott Road in Fritwell. The site includes a full sized rugby pitch, a training pitch, a small sports pavilion with changing facilities and a kitchen, a multi-sports ball court, a small children’s play area and a newly developed, youth area. Also on this site there is a Scout Hut which is managed and maintained by 1st Fritwell Scouts.

All of these facilities have been provided and maintained by Fritwell Playing Field Management Committee. It is a registered charity that is dedicated to providing sporting and leisure facilities for the residents of Fritwell and the surrounding villages. It receives no regular income and relies upon donations, fund raising and the support of volunteers to ensure that all the equipment is regularly maintained, safety checked, insured and the grass cut!

Committee Members

100 Club

Our major source of income is through the 100 club, which, for £10 a year, provides members with the opportunity to have their number entered into a monthly draw the winners of which receive £ 20, £10 £5 respectively. This is a vital source of income and contributes to our annual running costs of insurance, safety inspections, maintenance of mowing equipment and other repairs. We would like to thank all our regular supporters, without whom we would be able to function. If you are not a member of the 100 Club but would like to join, please contact us on playing.fields@fritwell.org.uk. Your support is very much welcome and needed.

Parish Council

We would like to thank the Parish Council for agreeing to support us by paying for our annual inspection of the Playing Fields.
